Yesterday, July 6, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko held a briefing, during which he reported on changes in the state of the country’s medical system since the beginning of the full-scale war.
He noted that since February 24, 817 medical infrastructure facilities were partially destroyed, and another 122 were completely destroyed. More than 500 pharmacies were vandalized. Vehicles were also destroyed, namely, 85 ambulances were disabled, another 105 were stolen by the occupiers.
35 billion 808 million will be needed to restore damaged institutions to the condition they were in before the war. 15 billion 328 million will be needed to build new hospitals on the site of destroyed ones
Also, unfortunately, 14 medics died at the hands of the occupiers, and another 48 were injured of varying degrees of severity. All of them worked in ordinary civilian hospitals.
