The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports that Ukraine has become one of the most contaminated ammunition countries in the world due to the ongoing military conflict in our country.
We remind you that now it is dangerous:
- • walk in the woods, on ponds, fields, where hostilities took place;
- • get closer to the broken enemy equipment;
- • go to abandoned buildings and structures;
If you find a suspicious object, you must inform rescuers 101 or the national police – 102. Suspicious and potentially explosive objects should not be approached. There are already quite a few cases where people do not listen to the advice of the SES suffer as a result.
Thus, the National Police of Ukraine of Chernihiv region reports an accident that occurred on April 13. The 42-year-old citizen helped with clearing of area removing garbage on a tractor. As he was returning across the field to the village, he ran into an area that had been mined by the occupiers. The explosion killed a man.
At the same site, pyrotechnic rescuers found another mine while inspecting the area.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, in the Synelnykivskyi district, a man died because of cluster munitions. According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko, due to enemy shelling, a large number of cluster munitions were scattered in villages on the border with Donetsk and Kherson regions. The peculiarity of such shells is that they are scattered over a large area and for some time after the shelling remain dangerous
