Since the beginning of the war, the health care system has not ceased to function, both medical and pharmacological. However, the Russian occupiers, ignoring all international conventions, continue to cynically destroy medical infrastructure.
“During this period, Russian terrorists shelled 135 hospitals, destroyed 9, and fired 43 ambulances. So far, 6 medics have been killed and 16 are seriously injured. Yesterday, emergency medical officers escorting humanitarian corridors were taken hostage. But everything is fine with them, they have returned to Ukraine and are ready to continue their work. “
This was stated by the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
Viktor Lyashko said that about 10,000 pharmacies have resumed their work, and 12,000 pharmacies are expected to start operating by the end of the week. Pharmacological plants also operate. There is still a problem with logistics caused by fighting and shelling.
