Specialists of the National Health Service of Ukraine talked about which Ukrainians have the right to receive a free stomach examination and under what conditions.
It is noted that all Ukrainians over the age of 50 have the right to a free gastroscopy. For this, you should get a referral either from a family doctor or from a special doctor. After that, you should make an appointment at a medical institution that has a contract with the National Health Service in the direction of “Esophagogastroduodenoscopy"
Patients under the age of 50 can also have a free examination if they have appropriate indications and are referred by a doctor. In addition, during inpatient treatment, gastroscopy is also free of charge
The National Health Service also notes that the free package of such an examination includes a doctor’s consultation, anesthesia, analysis and description of the results, as well as a recording of the examination results on the patient’s digital media.
