Chief State Sanitary Doctor Igor Kuzin stated that due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, a decrease in the rate of vaccination against COVID-19.
Igor Kuzin called on all those who could not get the vaccine in time to make up for lost time.
For objective reasons, as of June 26, 689,000 Ukrainians had not completed the basic vaccination course, and another 14 million had not received a booster dose. At the same time, the vaccination medical infrastructure now allows everyone who needs it to be vaccinated in relatively safe regions. We have about 10 million doses of Pfizer and CoronaVac vaccines in stock. It is especially important now to take care of ourselves and the health of our loved ones, because this not only saves our lives, but also allows doctors to work to save the victims of the war. Therefore, I urge everyone who has not yet received the necessary vaccinations to do so
It is noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, only 15.9 million citizens of Ukraine have received the first vaccination, 15.2 million – received two doses, 1.4 million – received a booster dose. Most vaccines were made in the capital, Ternopil and Volyn regions. As of the end of June, there are almost 10 million Pfizer and CoronaVac vaccines in Ukraine.
We will remind, recently we published refutation of myths about the Ukrainian medical sphere which are spread by occupiers
