On June 8, enemy fire in the Novobavarsky district of Kharkiv set fire to a cafe, shop, and school library, killing two people and injuring four.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast reports that cafes, a grocery store and a school library were occupied at around 11 pm as a result of enemy shelling in the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv.
The total area of the fires was about 500 sq.m. The school building was partially damaged. At 03:10 all fires were extinguished.
According to preliminary data, 2 people died and 4 others were injured. The information is being clarified.
In total, for the day from June 8 to 9, rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison of the SES went to eliminate 27 fires, of which 16 fires were caused by shelling.
Houses, outbuildings, a workshop, a hayloft, warehouses, garages and cars, a cafe building, a shop, a school library, and coniferous forests were on fire.
