The National Health Service of Ukraine reminded about what types of free medical care for oncology patients are covered by the state program of medical guarantees.
The list of such procedures includes chemotherapy treatment in outpatient or inpatient conditions. This package includes the following services:
1. Counseling, outpatient and inpatient medical care;
2. Laboratory studies;
3. Cytological examination of material obtained during opportunistic screening and in patients with suspected neoplasm recurrence;
4. Necessary instrumental research in outpatient and inpatient conditions for patients with a confirmed oncological diagnosis;
5. Round-the-clock medical observation and nursing care of patients in inpatient conditions with the possibility of 24-hour monitoring of vital functions (heart rate, blood pressure, SpO2, ECG monitoring).
6. Provision of medicines purchased centrally by the Ministry of Health, medicines purchased at the expense of other programs of the central and local budgets, as well as medicines from the National List and necessary medical products and consumables.
7. Oxygen support.
8. Assistance in conditions of intensive therapy.
9. Timely local or general anesthesia, if necessary, medicated sleep at all stages of diagnosis and treatment.
10. Consultations by doctors of other specialties and others.

To receive medical care free of charge, the patient needs a doctor's referral or a transfer from another medical facility. If the patient has an established diagnosis, he goes to his treating doctor without a referral. In addition, the patient can choose an institution where to receive services, regardless of registration or actual stay
