Yesterday, June 1, representatives of the Association of Outpatient Medicine visited the largest geriatric boarding house in Ukraine, located in the Dnieper. Currently, the institution is home to 594 people aged 18 to 98. Most of them are people with disabilities, almost a third are bedridden.
Representatives of the Association of Outpatient Medicine presented them with food and personal hygiene products, which were attracted thanks to donors from the western part of Ukraine.
Serhiy Zub, Deputy Director of the Dnipro Geriatric Boarding House, said that the institution is actively supported by donations from international organizations and Ukrainian charitable foundations.
We have a lot of people living not only in the elderly, but also with certain physical disabilities. Each of them needs quality care. Terrible times have come all over the country. That is why we are trying to maximize food stocks in case our suppliers' production stops due to the war. We are very grateful for your help. Long-shelf foods are especially relevant. Thank you for not forgetting about us
Also during the visit, AAM members conducted a small tour of Building A. It was renovated several years ago with funds raised from philanthropists. The photo can be found below.
It should be noted that the transfer of humanitarian aid became possible due to the fruitful joint work of the Ukrainian Association of Outpatients and the law firm “Absolut".
It will be recalled that yesterday members of the Association of Outpatient Medicine also visited the Dnieper Boarding School with congratulations on the occasion of Children’s Day and gifts.
