Dog Ber came to Chernivtsi together with his owner from Kharkiv, and immediately started helping in the volunteer headquarters. The townspeople are amazed at how enterprisingly the caterpillar carries packages with help all day long.
The Belgian shepherd Ber used to play with his owner Serhiy in the parks of his native Kharkiv, but now he has no time for entertainment. In the morning, the migrant dog runs to work. It has been 2 months since he and his master fled the shelling to Chernivtsi and volunteered.
The day is painted almost by the minute – the four-legged meets the bus with the humanitarian, becomes a consolation for the drivers, unloads the boxes together with the owner and carefully sniffs each one, so he is still good at sorting. However, Ber does not forget about the lunch break, he knows which one to go to a special room where they are treated to delicacies.
Then the help from the warehouse should be taken to the volunteer headquarters, where it will be distributed to IDPs. Ber carries even 5-kilogram packages in his teeth.
At home he helped us a lot: he carried bags, went to the market, brought water.
But in Chernivtsi, the tailed refugee is not allowed to work calmly. Everyone constantly wants to play with him. Everyone stops to pamper and take a selfie with him. And that's good, because Bera's main task at the volunteer center is psychotherapy. He is responsible for the psychological state of those who fled the shelling or occupation of the Russians.
Ber seems to feel who needs his support and runs to him. He lies down next to her and looks into her eyes.
In general, for him it is such a load for the whole day, he is loved here. He comes home and immediately goes to bed.
The young man admits that he dreams of having his pet star in commercials or movies. But after our victory, and so far – together with Behr – are preparing to perform other tasks.
We are training, we are doing a search, next week we will go to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If he is drafted into the army, let him know something.
