Today, May 23, representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Ambulatory Physicians handed over another batch of humanitarian aid. This time the cargo was sent to the Dnieper orphanage with a department of medical and social rehabilitation.
The head of the Association of Ambulatory Medicine Artem Svodkovsky said that the humanitarian aid included various diapers and other personal hygiene products, sweets, cereals, canned food and more. All this was attracted by philanthropists from Ukraine.
The director of the orphanage Valentina Bulgakova said that currently more than 50 children and teenagers with disabilities live in the institution.
«At the beginning of the war, thanks to the state program, we managed to take some of the children to Poland. They are well cared for and helped there. A little later, after the tragedy at the train station in Kramatorsk, more children from the Druzhkivka orphanage were brought to us. We try to make every effort to make them comfortable and safe here. A lot of work in our institution is done with the help of sponsors and volunteers, so we are very grateful to you for not staying away and helping to provide the necessary things now»
Members of the Association of Ambulatory Medicine decided to take “care" of this orphanage. We will make every effort to help the management of the institution to improve the living conditions of children with disabilities.
Also for members of the Association of Ambulatory Medicine conducted a short tour of the institution, showed some of the rooms where children study and undergo rehabilitation. You can see the photo below.
