An English teacher from Mariupol told how she passed the filtration camp and was able to leave the city. However, the woman is still in an uncontrolled area, so for security reasons we do not name her.

"Filtration camp is a queue of cars. You can come to the filtration either by bus or by your own transport.
We rode in our own transport, so I'll tell you about my filtering option. This is the queue in which cars get up in the village of Bezimenne, near Novoazovsk. This queue stretches for several meters, and when you get there, you are given a car number and you write in a notebook, in the queue, where you specify the car brand, car number and how many people will be filtered. And you stand in line.
We had to wait 5 days for our turn, but everyone may be different. It can be 6 days, and if someone is lucky, it can be 4-3 days. Our neighbors waited for 12 days in March."
According to the woman, it is possible to leave the car queue, but it is not always possible to return to your place due to various circumstances. Therefore, those who missed their turn will have to wait 5 days again.
Also, the occupiers set up three tents there, which are approached by 5 cars. People from cars are taken for questioning to tents. In one – women are questioned, in the other – men and teenagers. And in the third tent they are already taking photos of Mariupol residents and entering their data into computers.

"There were two women in the women's tent who interviewed us. The first question is whether there is a tattoo. I didn't have it, so I didn't show anything. And others, apparently, showed who they had. I don't know what they ask about tattoos.
They also ask if there are any acquaintances and relatives, the military, if there are acquaintances who work or have worked in the police, and the SES. As I understand it, they are interested in contacts. Already in the last tent, people's phones are being checked.
Teachers and people who were related to the administration and know the contacts of deputies, etc. are interrogated more during the filtering.
They also ask if our school had parents who were military, worked in the police or the SES. I understand that they are trying to compile a database. They also asked if the military came to our school"
A teacher from Mariupol says that there are people who do not pass filtration.
According to her, those Mariupol residents who did not pass the filtration are not allowed to travel by car, they can only move on foot, and if the occupiers stop such a person, she will have to explain that her turn to filter has not yet come.
"There are people in Mariupol who have not passed the filtration, because firstly - a huge queue, and secondly - not everyone has the means to go to the filtration
But the news is that if you do not have filtering, you will not be able to move around the city. You need to have a passport, you need to have this filtering"
