As a result of the accident that occurred on May 3 in Rivne region, Nizhyn resident Tetyana Skrypets died.
Her son Vadim is in critical condition in the cremation ward, Nizhyn Mayor Oleksandr Kodola said on his Facebook page.
Three other Nizhyn residents received injuries of varying severity.
"In this largest car wreck in the last decade, 26 dead and 12 injured. Among them are residents of different regions. We sincerely sympathize with the family and relatives of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to all injured"
