On the night of April 17-18, civilians hid in the Church of the Transfiguration of the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The temple was severely damaged by artillery fire.
Fortunately, no one inside was injured.
“On the night of April 18, the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Kharkiv was shelled again. All windows and doors near the church were broken, the Sunday school building was damaged. None of the parishioners and Kharkiv residents hiding in the church were injured"
– reports the Kharkiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
