The boy was treated in Dnipro, Poland and sent to the United States.
Doctors from three countries of the world – Ukraine, Poland and the USA – are fighting for the life of 16-year-old Ivan from Mariupol.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Iryna Mykychak.
Mykychak noted that the young man was injured in a rocket-bomb attack by Russian assassins. He was first rescued on the Dnieper, then transported to Poland. After the teenager's condition stabilized, he and his mother Maya were sent to the United States.
“The team of the University of Massachusetts Hospital has taken our difficult patient under its care. We are grateful for the help of colleagues! Our patient was accompanied to the plane by our Consul General Vyacheslav Voynarovsky, who helped the boy's mother in Krakow for several days"
– Mikichak wrote.
