Carrying out dialysis during the war
Dialysis is a necessary procedure for patients with chronic kidney disease, performed several times a week. During the war, patients were asked “How to carry out such a procedure in a safe environment?". This was especially true for people who are in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Therefore, the government took the following actions:
If a person has left the active combat zone in a safe place.
You need to contact the nearest hospital that has a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine in the field of hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. (more)
Thus, in the Lviv region hemodialysis services under the agreement with the National Health Insurance Fund are provided by 11 medical institutions, in Ivano-Frankivsk – 9, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad – 8, Ternopil – 6, Chernivtsi – 5, Volyn, Rivne, Odessa – 4, Transcarpathian – 2.
If a person stays at home and is forced to change hospital due to the impossibility of a safe dialysis procedure.
