Today, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Bondarenko spoke about the fact that the new law No. 4265 on the state registration of human genomic information came into force in Ukraine.
One of the most important provisions of the document is that now representatives of some professions must submit their DNA data. We are talking about those specialties, among which there have been the largest losses since the beginning of the full-scale war – military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies. For the above-mentioned specialties, the collection of material will be free of charge.
It is noted that after DNA collection, the data will not be immediately entered into the register. The materials will be stored in the personal files of individuals until (or if) there is a need for an examination.
Considering the losses we have today, it is necessary to identify all our dead as a result of armed aggression. This applies to both the military and civilians who will come under fire, as, for example, in the city of Chasiv Yar
